Water-based CBD is a CBD product that mixes well with water or another drink such as fruit juice, lemonade, coffee or tea. Water-based CBD is also referred to as 'water-soluble CBD'.
Water-based CBD has some important advantages over CBD oil:
- Better absorption in the body
- Less troubled by sharp taste
- Easier on the go
1. Better absorption in the body
This is by far the most important benefit of water-based CBD. Water-soluble CBD is much better absorbed by the human body than CBD oil, CBD capsules, CBD edibles and other CBD products. This works as follows:
CBD oil less efficient
To begin with, you should know that the human body consists of more than 60% water. Substances that mix well with water are therefore more easily absorbed by the body.
CBD as found in CBD oil, CBD capsules and CBD edibles is a hydrophobic compound. Hydrophobic means that a substance does not mix well with water. As a result, this CBD is less well absorbed by the body.
The fact that this form of CBD is difficult to mix with water is because the CBD present actually consists of CBD clusters. Large quantities of CBD molecules are clustered together.
You can compare it with a magic ball. You have to suck a long time for the magic ball to completely dissolve in your mouth.
In addition, the mixture of CBD oil is also not easy to mix with water. After all, it is generally known that oil is water-repellent.
Due to this combination of hydrophobic ingredient (CBD) and hydrophobic compound (vegetable oil), approximately 90% of the CBD present disappears from the body with the stool.
Water-based CBD is efficient
It works differently with water-based CBD. In the production of water-based CBD, nanotechnology is used to break CBD clusters into smaller units down to about 100 nanometers per piece. That is 0,0001 millimeters.
These smaller units are much more soluble in water. You can compare it again with a magic ball. If you break a magic ball into your mouth, it will dissolve in your saliva much faster.
Because water-based CBD dissolves more easily in water, the body can also absorb this form of CBD much more easily. Much less CBD disappears from the body with the stool.
In other words, water-based CBD is much more efficient than other CBD products.
2. Less trouble with sharp tastes
Many people find the taste of CBD oil unpleasant. Some people, the taste of CBD oil reminds you of the smell of black earth. In addition, CBD oil can feel sharp in the throat.
However, you take CBD on a water basis by first mixing it with a drink of your choice. For example, if you mix water-soluble CBD with orange juice, you will no longer notice the bitter taste. You will also not experience a sharp feeling in the throat.
This ability to mix with drinking makes the intake of water-soluble CBD a much more pleasant experience than the dripping of CBD oil.
3. Easier on the go
Taking CBD oil is actually quite a hassle. This can be especially annoying when you are traveling. Suppose you want to drip in the train and then suddenly the train changes track. It can really mess up the dripping.
And we are not even talking about the prying eyes of fellow passengers. And of course dripping is not possible at all behind the wheel of a car.
It works easier with water-based CBD. Before you go, mix the right amount of water-soluble CBD in a bottle of water or fruit juice. Give it a good stir and you are ready for the journey.
CBD is only active in the body for a limited period of time. Therefore, you should take water-based CBD twice a day. For a good spread, it is best: one intake time in the morning and one intake time in the evening.
Water-based CBD is sold in bottles with a spray. As mentioned, water-soluble CBD is absorbed by the body much better than CBD oil. That is why you can suffice with one spray per time of intake.
You then put one spray in a drink of your choice. This can be water, fruit juice, lemonade, milk or whatever you prefer.
When your body is used to the CBD, you can increase the dose to 3 or 4 sprays per day.
Expensive purchase is cheap
A bottle of water-soluble CBD with the same amount of CBD is more expensive than a bottle of CBD oil Pure or CBD oil RAW. We admit that honestly.
However, because water-based CBD is better absorbed by the body, you get much more for your money. So if you look at the amount of CBD that the body absorbs, water-soluble CBD is ultimately cheaper.
Is water-based CBD the future?
The answer to this question is: probably yes, but it could take a while. We will explain this below.
Water-based CBD is absorbed so much better by the body that this product is preferable to CBD oil for that reason alone. If you look at the CBD actually absorbed by the body, this is also the most beneficial choice. Common sense dictates that you should prefer water-based CBD over CBD oil.
The main reason why more CBD oil is being sold at the moment is a historical one. 'CBD oil' has been around longer than 'CBD water soluble'. And people usually prefer to choose what they already know.
An existing user will therefore first have to be convinced to give water-based CBD a try, but that is not easy. Tell a Pepsi drinker that Coca Cola is really better. It won't matter.
With new users of CBD products, something different is the case. If you have never used a CBD product and you are going to compare prices, you will soon discover that the price for a bottle of CBD water-based is higher than a bottle of CBD oil with the same amount of CBD. This makes water-soluble CBD seem more expensive, but we already explained in the previous section why appearances are deceptive.
In summary, we can therefore conclude that water-based CBD really has the future because of the demonstrably better absorption of the CBD by the body. However, it will take some time before this realization has penetrated all users of CBD products.
