CBD crystals

CBD crystals consist of more than 99% CBD and 1% other cannabinoids. It is also called CBD isolate. This is the purest form of Cannabidiol (CBD) available on the market.

Applications CBD crystals

There are several ways you can use the crystals. The most common uses are:

1. Take directly under the tongue
2. Make your own CBD oil
3. Mix with E-liquid
4. Fruit juice with CBD
5. Cake with CBD

Below we will go into more detail about these different applications of CBD crystals.

CBD crystals
This is what CBD crystals look like ...

Take directly under the tongue

This is the most direct way of intake. You drop a pinch of crystals under the tongue. Then you wait about a minute and a half. Then, drink a large glass of water to rinse the saliva with CBD.

Sometimes the grains are slightly larger. With somewhat larger grains, it is best to crush them a bit finer first. Then they dissolve better in the saliva.

You only need very few CBD crystals for this form of intake. We use 2 mg of crystals about twice a day. That is 50 grams at a time.

Make your own CBD oil

With CBD crystals you can make your own CBD oil at home. You mix the crystals with a vegetable oil of your choice. Most suitable are hemp seed oil, coconut oil or olive oil.

To mix well, you must first heat the oil a little, but not too much. For this you use a technique called au bain-marie. This is a technique in which you place a pan in a pan of boiling water. That way, the oil never gets warmer than the boiling water.

You determine the concentration of CBD in the CBD oil yourself:

5% CBD oil: Mix 500 mg (0,5 grams) of CBD isolate with 9,5 ml of vegetable oil
10% CBD oil: Mix 1000 mg (1 gram) of CBD isolate with 9 ml vegetable oil
20% CBD oil: Mix 2000 mg (2 grams) of CBD isolate with 8 ml of vegetable oil

Mix with E-liquid

Adding CBD to E-liquid is actually very easy. You use a neutral base E-liquid. This is E-liquid without added flavors. Then you add CBD crystals to this and then it is a matter of shaking vigorously.

Optionally, you can also add a terpene extract to the mixture for flavor. It is wise to stay within the following proportions:

CBD isolate: 1% - 10% by weight
Terpene extract: 1% - 3% by weight
Neutral base E-liquid: the rest of the weight

Incidentally, we are personally not a fan of the E-cigarette. It may be less unhealthy than smoking cigarettes, but not smoking at all is of course best.

Since there are so many other ways to use CBD, E-liquid with CBD is really only interesting for people who already smoke. All other people should choose a different application of CBD crystals.

Fruit juice with CBD

This is completely simple:
Fill a glass with fruit juice. Add some crystals. After this you have to stir vigorously for a while. And then: drink it. You can also mix the crystals well with hot drinks such as tea or coffee.

Cake with CBD

To bake a cake with CBD, first mix CBD crystals with butter. Use the same amount of butter as you normally use to bake cake.

To mix the crystals with butter, you must first melt the butter on a low temperature. The aforementioned au bain-marie technique is very suitable for this.

Then you add the crystals. Then stir well for a few minutes. Let the resulting mixture cool down first. Then add the butter with CBD to the other ingredients of your cake.

You can also bake a cake or cupcakes with CBD in the same way. Or you make another dish with CBD.

Alternatively, mix CBD crystals with a vegetable oil and use it for cooking.

How are CBD crystals made?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a substance found in the cannabis plant. Organically grown hemp plants are used for the production of this purest form of CBD.

The crystals are obtained by means of a supercritical CO2 extraction. The result thereof is then further purified. This process produces CBD crystals that consist of a minimum of 99% CBD and a maximum of 1% of other cannabinoids.

Cannabinoids are substances naturally occurring in hemp. In any case, one cannabinoid does not occur in CBD crystals and that is THC. CBD crystals contain 0,0% THC. It is therefore impossible to get high from CBD crystals.
